Mythra Schwartz (b. 1996, Canada) is a Naarm/Melbourne-based painter whose practice explores the fleeting edges of perception, memory, and desire. Growing up between Canada, New Zealand, Australia, and Bali, her trans-national upbringing informs a sensitivity to transience and displacement. Through motifs of shadows, reflections, and blurred forms, her paintings dwell in states of partial visibility, where longing gathers around what resists full grasp.

She completed a BFA at RMIT (2022) and Honours at the Victorian College of the Arts (2024). Schwartz has recently exhibited at West Bund Art Fair in Shanghai (ISM Gallery) alongside 2025 shows at Arc One Gallery, TCB, George Paton Gallery, Blindside ARI and Lennox St Gallery. She has been awarded the Stewart Black Painting and Drawing Scholarship (2024) and the West End Solo Exhibition Award (2025). Schwartz has upcoming solo shows at FUTURES (Melbourne), Huxley Parlour (London) and Arc One Gallery (Melbourne) in 2026.
